Why approved structure is Enterprise

Read · 2 min

Standard and Pro draft against researched templates plus your firm's learned voice. That combination, template plus tone, is enough for many solo and small firms whose winning work does not follow one fixed outline across matters.

Enterprise is for shops whose winning work follows a specific outline every time: section order, headings, where exhibits land in the document, and which rubric points get the most room. If two associates at your firm would organize the same petition type the same way without discussing it, that consistency is worth encoding once rather than re-deciding on every matter.

After onboarding, Petria proposes a structure derived from your uploaded samples' real headings where they exist, or drafted from scratch when they do not. Your team reviews it in a fillable form (reorder sections, edit titles, adjust which section gets exhibits) and approves it once per petition type and jurisdiction. Every production job for that type and jurisdiction then opens the way your partners already expect, until you approve a revised structure.

Volume firms buy this so associates stop rebuilding the table of contents on every case. The playbook stays consistent, versioned, and yours.

Enterprise also unlocks a second, automatic loop: after the pre-filing gap analysis runs on the first draft, a targeted gap redraft addresses what it found without rewriting the whole document or touching your approved outline, plus firm-branded Word output. Structure approval is the foundation that makes that second loop worth running, since a targeted redraft against an outline that changes on every matter would have nothing stable to target.

By default this step is stricter once your firm is on Enterprise, checked per petition type and jurisdiction: draft jobs for a type you have not onboarded will fail with a message telling you to upload samples, run Analyze, and approve structure for that type first, rather than quietly falling back to the standard template. You can onboard one type at a time; jobs for types you have already approved run normally while others are still pending. If you would rather not set up a custom structure at all, Skip for now on the setup screen lets your firm opt into the standard template and standard voice instead, the same default Standard and Pro get automatically. You can come back and approve a real structure for any petition type later; an approved structure always takes over from the default the moment it exists.
